Sandip Bhattacharya's Bio

Brief Biography

I am a first year PhD student in the School of Physics and CRANN at Trinity College Dublin. I work under the supervision of Prof Stefano Sanvito and Dr Mauro Ferreira. My research focuses on investigating, spin transport in organic materials, in close contact with several experimental groups at TCD both in the School of Physics and CRANN, as well. I obtained my B.Tech degree in Ceramic Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India in 2009. My B.Tech thesis was on Dielectric characterization of strontium doped barrium stannate titannate pervoskite. As an undergrad,I was involved in a project with Prof SM Shivaprasad (currently at CPMU,JNCASR, Bangalore, India) on, XPS study of nitridation of GaAs (001) Surface.
