I completed my undergraduate degree in 2007, earning a B.A. (mod) in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin. In October of that year I joined the Computational Spintronics Group. My current research uses ab initio methods to investigate electrical transport through hybrid junctions consisting of ferromagnetic and ferroelectric materials. With this work, we hope to provide a microscopic understanding of the mechanisms governing spin-transport in multiferroic systems. This project involves collaboration with the Spaldin Research group in UCSB.
