I received my MS in Theoretical Physics from the University of Setif, Algeria in 2001. I then moved to Strasbourg, France, where I obtained my PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the Louis Pasteur University in 2006. My thesis project focused on the magneto-optics and magneto-transport properties of Magnetic Tunnel Junctions (MTJ). I joined the Computational Spintronics Group group in March 2007. I am currently working on the European Union's Project SpiDME (Spintronic Devices for Molecular Electronics) aiming at the characterization of a new generation of molecular spin devices using Density Functional Theory based scheme for Spin Tunneling Microscopy (STM) as well as the Electrostatic Spin Crossover Effect in magnetic molecules. In this project I am working with Prof. Stefano Sanvito and Sankar Kesanakurthi (PhD student). I am also involved in code development for the Computantional Spintronics Group and collaborate closely with experimental groups in CRANN.
