I am a PhD student in the Computational Spintronic Group of the School of Physics at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. I began working with Prof. Stefano Sanvito in April 2008. My main topic is in condensed matter physics, and my work consists in computational simulations by first principles using LCAO-DFT based codes. Currently I am working on the properties of Si(100) surfaces. Before starting my PhD in TCD, I obtained my “laurea” in Physics from the University of Cagliari, Italy, with a thesis work on strongly correlated oxides (cuprates), titled:"Ordering and Electronic Structure in under-doped YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{6+x}" I worked for many years (part time) as a guide in the Physics Museum of the University of Cagliari.
