Hi, I am Kapildeb. I had obtained my B.Sc. (Physics Honours) from Scottish Church College affiliated to University of Calcutta, India in 2006. Then I moved to IIT Madras, India where I earned my master degree in Physics in 2008. In the mean time also I had attained a summer School in theoretical physics conducted by IIA, India on June, 2007. Finally in January, 2009 I have joined as a Ph.D student in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Currently I am working on Density Functional Theory (DFT). More precisely I am doing some computational stuffs on Molybdenum di-sulfide (MoS2) material using the SIESTA code based on DFT. Though in future, I am going to work on "Transport in semiconductor nanowires". There I will try to model the electronic and transport properties of semiconductor nanowires (SNWs) from first principles. Besides my research work, I like to play cricket, chess, sudoku etc.
