I received the M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from Bologna University (Italy) in spring 2007 presenting a thesis on the path integrals formalism to study spin Hamiltonians. I moved to Dublin during the autumn of the same year and I am currently a Phd student in Trinity College. My scientific interests concern different topics of Many Body and Condensed Matter Physics. In particular I am working in a research project founded by Science Foundation Ireland, which is dedicated to the study of magnetism and magnetic materials, with special attention for oxides, diluted magnetic semiconductors and d0 magnets. The goal is to understand the physics of new magnetic materials proposed for spintronic applications using ab-initio density functional simulations and many body models. Moreover I am still working on coherent states and path integrals in quantum mechanics with the group of Strongly Correlated Electronic Systems in Bologna.
