Matteo Cobelli

Matteo received a BSc and an MSc in Physics at the University of Milano Bicocca (Italy) in 2016 and 2018, respectively.  He joined the group in September 2019 as a PhD student. His project aims to improve the discovery process of novel permanent magnets through inverse design. This can be achieved by constructing machine learning models that interpolate the magnetic properties of compounds across chemical compositions, thus allowing the screening of the chemical space based on the properties of interest for specific applications.
