Luke graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Physics from Trinity College in 2019. He joined the group as a PhD student the same year to work on projects combining elements of natural language processing, text data mining, machine learning and density functional theory. His projects will specifically focus on the automated extraction of material properties from scientific literature, property prediction of two-dimensional materials and inverse materials design using machine learning techniques.
